Artwork Specifications

Bannerville USA will accept artwork in the following formats:

  • Computer generated, editable art saved as .ai, .eps, .pdf, .indd files, or JPEG/TIFF files (saved at ¼ size, high resolution); we work off of Adobe Creative Suite 4.  (To reduce file size, consider saving artwork as a "smallest file size" .pdf)
  • All files should either have all fonts converted to outlines or should be sent with an additional font folder.
  • For InDesign files, fonts and links should be packaged in a folder with the design.

For clarification:

  • Vector artwork - is created by points and paths that are easily editable and can be manipulated to satisfy your banner requests.  Vector files are typically saved as .ai, .eps, or .indd.
  • Raster artwork - is made up of many pixels resulting in an image that is NOT editable (cannot be manipulated in anyway.)  Raster images are typically saved as .jpg, .bmp, .psd, .tif, or .pcx.  Raster artwork cannot be converted, in any way, to a vector image. If you choose to use raster artwork, be aware that it will result in a low quality, highly pixilated image when scaled to accommodate the banner size.
  • If you are unable to supply vector artwork and only have a raster image, our designers are available to work with you to find the best solution.  An additional design change will be imposed if the image needs to be recreated as a vector file.

 

You may send artwork:

  • Via email if the file size is 25 MB or less
  • On disc via mail
  • Upload to our FTP site.  Please call a representative to receive a username and password.

When supplying electronic scans, please supply a 300 dpi scan at ¼ size.

We prefer Illustrator or EPS files.  Placed images should be provided at least at 50 dpi at full size, 100 dpi at ½ size, and 200 dpi at ¼ size.

For your convenience, ¼ size, full color proofs on the actual banner or sign substrate will be sent out at no additional charge on large orders (via UPS Ground).  If you require immediate shipment (Overnight, Next Day Air, or Messenger Service), you will be responsible for the shipping charges.

Our professional banner designers can provide you with layouts and finished artwork through email, but not that color proofing via email is not recommended.  Please call to determine production and shipment time.
