This past spring we produced and installed a large three-dimensional Hawk logo for Hoffman Estates High School. This large metal Hawk spanned an overall size of seven and a half feet wide by almost four feet tall.
To create a three-dimensional look, the Hawk was produced in two layers: The first layer was quarter inch aluminum painted in a gloss gray color, and the second layer was also quarter inch aluminum but left in a brushed metal finish instead of painted. The darker layer behind the top metal, created depth and a darker background for the top layer.
To tie the wall together, we also produced three-dimensional lettering above the Hawk logo reading “Hoffman Estates High School”. The finish of these letters matched the top layer of the Hawk logo.
White wall graphics of their logo at the entrances to their media center create a neat contrast against their blue walls.
